Sketching with Parametrics in the solidworks

Sketching solidworks in 2D format is done by clicking Sketch in the Command Manager or by activating the Sketch feature. Sketch is the most common type of feature. Sketching in parametric software is different from drawing lines in 2D CAD. SolidWorks sketches are parametric. that is, we can make a sketch which changes accordingly the rules. Apart from 2D sketches, SolidWorks can also create 3D sketches. But 2D sketching is much more widely used. We make a 2D sketch on the selected plane or planar surface and then use it to create shapes for features like Extrude, Revolve, and etc. Relationships in 2D sketches are often made between sketched entities and other edges of the model which may or may not be in the sketch area. In situations where other entities are not in the sketch plane, the entity outside the plane is projected onto the sketch plane in the direction normal to plane sketch. This is not the case for 3D sketching. You can use 3D sketching for the Hole Wizard, routing, weldin...
