Assembly methods in Solidworks Design

tutorial simple solidworks
Assembly is the process of combining or assembling several parts in a certain relationship.
An assembly is a combination of two or more parts, also called components, in one SOLIDWORKS document. We can position and orient components using pairs that form connections between components. Very easy process.
There are 2 assembly methods in Solidworks:
1. Part coordinate system method.
2. Part Method
Part coordinate system method
Click the new icon and part icon to create a new image.
2Click and create a part image.
Then save and name the file part1.
Create a new part and then create a new plane that is 30 mm apart.
Then save and name the file part 2.
After the above process is complete, we enter the stage for assembling part 1 and part 2.
Here are the steps:
Click the New icon and click the assembly icon.
In the menu bar select windows, tile horizontally. So a horizontal tile window will appear
Click the 2D Sketch icon so that origin will be active in windows assembly.
Click on the text part 1, then move the mouse and point it to the origin windows assembly.
Then click the part 2 text icon (the mouse is still depressed) then we move the mouse and point it to the origin window assembly so that it is on the assembly window.

Mate method
The following is an example of an assembly drawing that we will discuss using the mate method:
Click the icon and create the following image below:
Then save and name the box file.
Click and create an image as follows:
Then save and name the cylinder file
After the above process is complete, we enter the stage for assembling the box
and cylinder.
The following are the stages st.
Here are the steps:
Click New and click the assembly icon.
Then in the menu bar, click Insert, Component, From File.
Choose one of the file names that we will display, in this case the file name
Box.
After selecting the file name above, we point the pointer to the Assembly window and then click the left mouse. So a box image will appear in the windows assembly.
We click again on the menu bar Insert, Component, From File. And then choose a file name in this case cylinder. Next, we point the pointer at the assembly window and then click the left mouse. So the cylinder image will appear in the assembly window.
After processing points 7 and 8 are complete, in the assembly window we will get the following image:
The following are the stages for the box and cylinder assembly process:
Click the mate icon or click on the menu bar Insert, Mate. So the following dialog box will appear:
See the image above, if we click Edge 1 and Edge 2, and we select Coincident.
So we get the assembly result image as follows:
Look at the picture above, if we click Face 1 and Face 2 and select it
Concentric (see dialog box below):
So we get the assembly result image as follows:
After the mate process above is complete, we can modify the position of the assembly image again as explained in point 15.
We can modify the assembly point 13 image as shown below:
We can modify the position of assembly point 13 in the following way:
Click both the cylinder edge and the box edge, as in the mate dialog box below, then press checklist.

Rotate the object

We design changes or we pull the wrong angle, we may need to rotate one or more objects that we make.we can easily rotate an object or objects around the basic point that we specify.Base point is usually the object snap points on the object. To demonstrate the rotation, determine the angle of rotation.By default, the zero is to the right, and increased degrees if counter-clockwise. To change the default, select Format> Units By setting a negative angle, we can change the object clockwise. To rotate the object, choose Rotate from the Modify toolbar and select one object. Alternatively, select the object and then select Rotate from the Modify toolbar. Specify base point: prompt, indicating a point about what we want to play. Specify rotation angle or [Copy / Reference]: prompt, type the angle on the command line. Use the Copy option to make a copy of the original object. Once we use the copy option, the prompt return of the same so that we can determine the angle of ro...

Callouts and Handles in Solidworks

Callout solidworks are boxes of text that appear in the graphic area when we use certain tools. Makes it easy for us to click, move, and adjust parameters dynamically without leaving the graphic area. Callouts help distinguish different entities. For example, info that shows the profile of a sweep and sweep path. We can do it by dragging to reposition it, but we cannot use it to change the property of the entity they are referring to. Some info, such as for chamfers, will display numbers that you can edit or change to manipulate the size of the entity. The long span handle is extruded. Drag the handle to the desired extrusion depth, and the handle covers the length.
