Assembly methods in Solidworks Design

Assembly is the process of combining or assembling several parts in a certain relationship. An assembly is a combination of two or more parts, also called components, in one SOLIDWORKS document. We can position and orient components using pairs that form connections between components. Very easy process. There are 2 assembly methods in Solidworks: 1. Part coordinate system method. 2. Part Method Part coordinate system method Click the new icon and part icon to create a new image. 2Click and create a part image. Then save and name the file part1. Starting Unigraphics Siemens NX Modeling Compilation Simulation

We will learn the initial steps to start, understand and use Unigraphics NX for modeling, compilation, simulation.
1. Click the Start button on the Windows taskbar.
2. Click the arrow pointing downward.
3. Click Unigraphics NX 10.0 > NX 10.0.
4. Click the New button.
5. On the New dialog, click Templates > Model.
6. Click the OK button
User Interface
Various components of the user interface are discussed next.
Quick Access Toolbar
This is located at the top left corner of the window. It consists of the commonly used
commands such as Save, Undo, Redo, Copy, and so on.
File Menu
The File Menu appears when you click on the File icon located at the top left corner of
the window. The File Menu consists of a list of self-explanatory menus. You can see a list
of recently opened documents under the Recently Opened Parts section. You can also
switch to different applications of NX.
Ribbon
A ribbon is a set of tools, which are used to perform various operations. It is divided into
tabs and groups. Various tabs of the ribbon are discussed next.
Home tab
This ribbon tab contains the tools such as New, Open, and Help, and so on.
